Support center for flex.bi version 3.2

Finance Consolidation

To create a consolidation account you must first make sure you have the flex.bi business plan enabled on your account, if you do not then contact flex.bi support to receive information on how to acquire it.

This plan parameter is available only for private flex.bi users. Cloud users have to inform us at support@flex.bi of your wish to create consolidation accounts and send us the company codes.

If you have the business plan parameter enabled on your account then you can begin work on creating and using the consolidation account.

Note that this type of consolidation is available only if you have the same account plan in HansaWorld Nominal Leader module for all companies you are planning to consolidate.

Find out which company numbers you need

Before you enable the parameter for consolidated companies, you must first find which companies are available to and which you would like to consolidate. To do that you must go to System(Module) >> Registers >> Companies in HansaWorld. A Window should open that displays all the available companies. Make note of the number in the "Code" column for the companies you wish to consolidate.

Enable the consolidation parameter

To enable the consolidated companies you must add the consolidation account parameter - "consolidated_companies" to your flex.bi parameters and add the numbers from the from the "Code" column you acquired previously. To see how to properly enable the parameter see the documentation for Account parameters. The enabled parameter should look something like this :

Export and upload all the required registers

When you have enabled the parameter you must now go and acquire all the registers needed for the Financials cube which can be seen here (The TRVc register will require special attention described below). In addition to those registers you will need to go and export the file called "CompaniesBlock" similar to how you exported all the files for the Financials cube.

The TRVc register must be exported for each company that you would like to consolidate. That means you must log into an account associated with the company you want to consolidate in HansaWorld and perform the TRVc register export. When you are saving the register make sure to name it accordingly - "*company_code*_*register_name*.txt" examples:

1_TRVc.txt,

1_TRVc-March.txt

1_2016-TRVc.txt

where 1 is the company code.

You must make sure the company code is at the beginning of the file and the number is the same as the company code you wish to import the data for. Make sure the number is seperated from the register name by an underscore symbol "_".

When you have all of the required registers you can then upload them into the flex.bi source files and import them. If everything is done correctly you should be able to see the Companies dimension in the Financials cube. If everything has been done correctly then the end result should look similar to this :
