HansaWorld application setup

Source Files

For automated exports / imports setup

If you are using automated exports / import where files are sent to server by HAL package timed events, you do not have to upload files - they will show in Source files section automatically, just check if they show up in Source files and are recognized as HansaWorld format. Then move to Source application section below.

Automated export setup with flex.bi provided HAL package.

For manual file export / import

In the flex.bi interface you have to find the tab Source Data > Source Files and upload the register files you prepared previously with "Browse ". If files after upload are recognized as HansaWorld files then you will see the HansaWorld logo appear under each file nameResult table should look like this or similar :

Data format

If your files is not recognized as a HansaWorld file then:

1. Make sure files are in UTF-8 formatting, which is the HansaWorld export format. Please confirm that the files are the right format by opening the file and finding "UTF-8"  in files header.

2. Make sure the file contains any data at all.

3. Try to re-export the data from HansaWorld again and allow some time for the new file to be populated with data, because exporting big files (several megabytes) can cause the files to appear as empty while they are being populated by data or

Source application (HansaWorld)

For  Flex.bi Private version users  -  Before you import any data make sure the  account parameters settings are correct. Read more about it here -  Settings and parameters for new account.
If the parameters are written incorrectly or given the wrong values certain functions will work incorrectly or not be available at all. Any changes made to the parameters after data has been imported will not affect any data. Parameters are only taken into account when data is being imported. So if you need to add or change a parameter or parameter value you need to delete all the data that would be affected by the parameter and re-import the data after the parameters have been adjusted.
