How to set up outgoing emails with Office365 as SMTP server

Old-style SMTP login is being forbidden in most of the mainstream SMTP services including Office 365. However, there is a solution to use Office 365 as SMTP server.

 Instructions

1. Configure a connector to send mail using Microsoft 365 or Office 365 SMTP relay following instructions in point 3: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mail-flow-best-practices/how-to-set-up-a-multifunction-device-or-application-to-send-email-using-microsoft-365-or-office-365

2. Send us the domain name that ends with *.mail.protection.outlook.com

3. Send us also a user and password for a user to be used for SMTP authentication

4. Alternatively set up the Email and Conferences > Settings > SMTP Server with the domain, username, password and port 25
